1 - Create a ONE STOP online community portal, where Acholi(Acoli) and Friends of Acholi can come to socialize and network online
2 - Provide a hign Quality Acholi Social Networking web site with with anything and everything to do with Acholi
3 - Host a website that will archive Acholi History, Culture, Tradition, Ethnology and more
4 - Set up an online human resources directory of Acholi people in Diaspora. In essence we want to set up an acholi web presence in the form of a multi purpose online community portal. It is our belief that there are very many Acholi''s abroad who are well educated and have much needed skills that they can contribute, and also have a relatively well off economic existence. We are looking into uniting these Acholis through this online portal by use of technology from the internet.r
5 - Establish a more structured method of communication amongst acholi with the aim to develop economical and social initiatives to improve ourselves. A better method of communication will also help us to raise international awareness of the plight of the Acholi.r
6 - Our Immediate Goal will be to raise funds and start strategic programs to assist the Acholi back home in Acholi land. We need the Acholi to also help them selves. Basically we are hoping to have an Acholi assistance solutions contributed by Acholis. We want the skilled Acholis to also contribute their time, skills and their money in assisting Acholi
7 - Our secondary objective is to centralize and form a co-coordinated center from which international organizations assisting Acholi can register or enlist them selves. It is hoped that this will help avoid duplications and improve efficiency in delivering aid to Acholi. There are numerous humanitarian organizations assisting and soliciting Aid for Acholi. Unfortunately there are no properly documented instances of how much aid is solicited and or how much aid really gets down to the needy, or what impact has the assistance had in improving the situation. Basically Acholi foundation seeks to have a center for a better co-coordinated relief structure and a track able feed back loop system.
8 - Our final Goal is the rebuilding and reconstruction of Acholi. The UNDP (United Nations Development Program has a project called TOKTEN(Transfer of Knowledge through Expatriate Nationals). We aim to set up a structure as such where Acholi members with skills can transfer specific skills needed, to the repairing or rebuilding of Acholi
The Online directory will be in the form of a community social network portal that will list Acholis by professional occupation to include their business, place of employment skills, services and area of expertise. It is these areas that we seek to net work from.
This portal will also have such community specifics such as a job employment board, news net, blogs, entertainment section with video, music, photos, a classifieds market place section, notices of births and deaths, public notices, events, polls, dating and friendship, education and scholarship sections, projects news and more importantly the first official list of Acholi death registry since 1986. No one knows for sure how many Acholis are dead, let alone deaths from the LRA, Uganda Government Forces, or Diseases such as AIDS.
